Miquel Àngel Bové is associate professor in the Department of Economics at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV). He holds a degree in Economics and Business from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and completed postgraduate studies at the University of Barcelona. He holds a PhD from the URV, with a thesis on economic instruments for environmental improvement.
Recently, his teaching has focused on environmental economics, tourism sector economics and the economic analysis of strategic behavior. In research, he is interested in economic mechanisms for improving environmental quality, tourism sector development policies and active learning strategies in the context of educational innovation. In this last aspect, he won the URV Social Council Award for Teaching Quality in 2008. He is currently the Coordinator of the University Entrance Exams at the URV. He has also been Coordinator of the Master's Degree in Industrial Organization and Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the URV.
