Ferran Mañé is a full professor at the Rovira i Virgili University. He obtained his degree in Economics and Business from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a postgraduate degree in Applied Economics also from the same university. He also holds a Master's degree in Professional Studies from Cornell University (USA).
He holds a PhD in Economics and Business from the UAB, with a thesis that analyzed the effects of technological change on skill requirements in an industrial life cycle framework. He has been a visiting professor at the University of Essex (England) and at Cornell University.
He has published several articles and book chapters on vocational education, the effects of on-the-job training on worker productivity, changes in the American educational system and the effects of technological change on educational and occupational structures.
